I wrote an optional 10 page, single-spaced paper about Amatoxins for writing credit. When I finished my first draft, Joe looked at it and said, "This is a research paper. I need a scientific prose. Rewrite it." This was my first time writing a scientific prose and I struggled, a lot.
When I thought about giving up, Joe lectured me that "quitting" midway was "unprofessional." Not only did I want to prove him wrong, but I wanted to prove to myself that I could overcome this obstacle. I didn't want to waste his effort and time editing my drafts. After six drafts and constant emailing with Joe during winter break, I finally finished my 11 page, single-spaced, scientific prose on Amatoxins. |
