Living like a Henro...
This website was greatly influenced by my experiences from the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage. These experiences have drastically changed and broadened my perspective of what it means to live happily and fully. Thus, I would like to dedicate this page to Daishi-san and everyone who has helped me on this journey.

The friends I made on my travels...
After walking and biking 750-miles to 88 temples scattered across the island of Shikoku, I learned to remove materialistic value from relationships. Throughout my journey, I was shunned by people who thought I was homeless as I travelled with peeling skin and a stench of sweat from not showering for days. At the same time, I was respected by monks and other locals who empathized with my sufferings and offered me food, a place to spend the night, and unconditional love and kindness. I developed the rawest and truest relationships with these people. They taught me that a pure relationship does not depend on the tangible riches, but the unique perspectives we can share and teach one another.
Here is a gallery of all the good-hearted people I've met along my travels around the world. Thank you for contributing to my growth as a henro... |
